September (and October) is a great month to renovate your lawn. Most lawns in the Overland Park area are planted with tall fescue grass, and fall is a prime growing season. Fall lawn renovation generally includes aeration, overseeding, and fertilizing. An additional step that is very helpful is to apply soil conditioner/amendment. If you aren’t going to do this project yourself, contact your lawn care service now. The optimal time window for this is fairly short, and the services get booked quickly.
