I’m excited for 2021, and the opportunities in front of us. Our theme for the year: Onward, with joy! Here’s what I mean:

Onward: toward a point ahead or in front; forward, as in space or time. (definition from Dictionary.com)

No matter what happened last year -good or bad -January always marks a new starting point. The past is very useful, but the opportunities are always ahead of us. So, at the beginning of the year, onward toward them! In 2021, my objective for our business is to give glory to God by providing excellent and trustworthy lawn and yard services. 

Onward… with a team: my objective is to build a hard working, completely trustworthy, friendly team. I respect the model of Chick-fil-A. At Chick-fil-A, the culture is one of service, empowerment, and concern for others. The team members are almost always young men and women, of high school and college age. They are sharp, articulate, friendly, and positive. The team members can learn the tasks and responsibilities of the business. The most important qualities that Anderson Lawn Care will seek in team members: positive attitude, trustworthiness, being coachable, care for others, and a desire and ability to work diligently. 

Onward… with a focus: we will focus on the areas of lawn and yard care that we do best. In 2021, this includes lawn and yard maintenance, such as mowing, trimming, yard clean-ups, seeding, aerating, fertilizing, mulch installation, sod installation, and basic landscaping. 

Onward… in our service area: in 2021, we want to serve customers well in our part of town. Basically, that’s about a 5 mile radius from Johnson County Community College. We want to minimize the amount of time driving, and maximize the amount of time providing service. 



Onward with joy. We have an opportunity to choose our attitude. Sometimes, it’s not easy to choose joy. But, we are going to just that. We are going to be thankful for the opportunity of each day in 2021.
