Fall, the perfect time for natural lawn care in Overland Park, Leawood, Prairie Village, and Brookside

Most lawns in Overland Park are planted with cool season grasses, such as tall fescue. The heat and humidity of summer are hard on these varieties. But cooler weather of autumn is ideal for growing grass. It is also the best time to aerate, fertilize, and build the root system of your lawn. Here’s our best plan to renovate your lawn in the fall.

1. Aerate in the fall. Generally, the best time is September and October.

2. Overseed. We’ll follow the aeration with a grass seed application.

3. Fertilization. In the same visit, we’ll apply fertilizer, to help your current grass and new grass seed grow strong and lush in the fall.

Bonus/extra application: for the customer who wants the healthiest, greenest grass on the block, we offer an additional soil builder/conditioner application. This organic application feeds the microbes in the soil to promote the best environment for thick, healthy grass.
